Microsoft Teams

A hub to chat, call and collaborate remotely

Microsoft Teams is a workplace collaboration tool that gives users the ability to share files and work together via a common platform. It is integrated with other products in the Microsoft 365 suite, including SharePoint, Outlook and Power BI.

Please note that if your business is currently using Skype for Business, Teams will be replacing this as Skype is due to retire in July 2021.

  • Share files and update them together in real time
  • Hold online video calls with the option to screenshare
  • Hold online meetings with anyone inside or outside of your organisation
  • Schedule and record meetings
  • Chat functionality between individuals, groups and teams.
Getting started with Teams
Why should my business use Microsoft Teams?

Microsoft Teams can facilitate an effective, collaborative and flexible work environment, whether working remotely or in an office. It's also very user-friendly and because it integrates with other Microsoft applications, your team can enjoy seamless working for improved productivity.

If you're looking to create a digital workspace for increased staff engagement and productivity, then Teams will greatly help you achieve this. It's also available at no extra cost to Office 365 users.

How do I get it?

Microsoft Teams is included in Office 365 for free. If you already have an Office365 subscription, you're likely to have everything you need in place to get started with Teams.

If you don't yet have Office 365, please get in touch: Microsoft are currently offering a free Office 365 E1 offer for six months.

To download Teams, you need to have an Office 365 account with the appropriate Office 365 licence plan. You can talk to your company's IT administrator to get an account or sign your company up.
